MUSIC VIDEO GUIDELINES:
We cannot guarantee that every video submitted to Cool TV will be broadcasted.
FORMATS
All videos MUST be submitted on BETA TAPE or HIGH QUALITY DVDs as a “VIDEO FILE” (if mailing) in format .AVI OR .MP4 Only
If sending videos via download services like sendspace, ge.tt or dropbox videos must be in an .avi or mp4 format only.
Make sure you fill out all of your videos metadata and include your ISRC# within that information if you have one.
BROADCAST QUALITY
1. CHECK the picture and sound quality is of broadcast standard.
2. 100% colour bars
3. Audio should peak at -6db and NO HIGHER
4. DOUBLE CHECK audio and pictures are in sync
5. AVOID the use of flashing images and regular patterns. (Flashing lights and certain types of regular visual patterns can cause problems for some viewers who have photosensitive epilepsy).
6. Please do NOT include any title on the actual video (e.g. artist name & track title these details will be added by Cool TV).
VIDEO CONTENT
LANGUAGE:
A clean version of the video is required. ALL swear words, offensive/violent language and racist comments MUST BE REMOVED before submission. Cool TV will NOT make exceptions for anybody. You warrant that the video will not contain any obscene or defamatory material.
COPYRIGHT CLEARANCES:
You agree that all consents, clearances and other authorizations have been obtained from all performers in the video, including parental consent if any performer is under the age of 16 years. You fully agree to indemnify us and keep us indemnified against all loss liability cost and/or expense suffered by us arising out of any claims demands actions or proceedings commenced against us by reason of your breach of these guidelines.
DRUGS:
Drug and solvent abuse should NOT be glamorized in the video. This includes alcohol, marijuana and other ‘minor’ drink and drugs. STEER CLEAR of these subjects as they will slow down the process and will most likely result in the REJECTION of your video.
PRODUCT PLACEMENT:
Product placement or branding – i.e. the inclusion of, or reference to a product or service is NOT permitted within videos. This includes websites, logos, on screen graphics and graphics before the video begins (e.g. ‘MC Rap presents’ etc). Please be aware that this is NOT negotiable.
CREATIVITY:
A big budget video is NOT essential, however please consider the concept and content of the video before submission. Original videos are more likely to be playlisted. We’ll be receiving over 100 videos a month, so please do something to separate you from the rest. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any video sent to us and you are advised to keep a copy of your video.
